WeAreTechWomen is happy to get behind the very first Pega Scholars Program. Not only is the organisation creating the technologists of tomorrow, they are committed to making technology a more diverse industry to work in!
Pega, a global business known for delivering innovative software that tackles business complexity, is proud to announce the launch of the Pega Scholars Program. This program aims to support future technologists from diverse communities around the world, ensuring equitable participation in the tech industry.
The Pega Scholars Program, which has been in operation since 1983, reflects Pega’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and providing opportunities to underrepresented groups in the technology space – much like WeAreTechWomen! It seeks to improve the availability, access, and equity of learning opportunities for individuals pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Technology, or related fields.
Applicants for the Pega Scholars Program must be current high school seniors, recent high school/secondary school graduates, or current university students. They should demonstrate a passion for technology and plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate study at a 2-, 3-, or 4-year accredited institution for the upcoming semester.
By offering scholarships to aspiring technologists, Pega aims to break down barriers that hinder diversity in the tech industry. The program recognises that talent knows no boundaries and seeks to empower individuals from all backgrounds to pursue their passion for technology, irrespective of financial constraints.
