WeAreTechWomen is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 TechWomen100 Awards.

The winners of the TechWomen100 awards showcases remarkable women within the technology sector covering a wide range of roles such as Applied Machine Learning Scientist; Cyber Security Consultant; Radio Modelling Engineer; Futurist; a Research Associate in Turbomachinery; and Rapid Prototyper.

The winners also include individuals from leading firms such as Mastercard, Lloyds Banking Group, O2, EY, BP, Transport for London, Dyson and Paypal; alongside founders and entrepreneurs of tech start-ups.

Alongside the individual TechWomen100 category, we are also pleased to announce the winners of the TechWomen100 Champions, Company of the Year and Network of the Year.

Since September 2018, WeAreTechWomen has been searching the UK for the best female tech talent in the country. The TechWomen100 awards are the first of their kind to focus solely on the female tech talent pipeline and to also recognise the impact of champions, companies and networks that are leading the way for the future generations of tech talent.

In its second year, the awards were entered by over 500 nominations from across the UK and Northern Ireland and judged by a panel of 16 industry experts. Over 30,000 public votes of support were received for the 200 shortlisted nominees.

Speaking about the awards, Catherine Schlieben, HR Director Group Operations and Talent Acquistion, Worldpay, said, “I am delighted that Worldpay is continuing to support the TechWomen100 awards this year and that it’s now 100 and not just 50!”

“There are so many women out there in a wide variety of technical positions with fantastic expertise that we want to recognise and provide inspiration to others and this is a great forum to do that.”

“I was so impressed last year with the backgrounds and achievements of all the winners and am looking forward to seeing our winners this year.”

Vanessa Vallely, Founder of WeAreTechWomen, added, “At WeAreTechWomen, we have made it our personal mission to shine a spotlight on women working in tech.”

“Our strategic aim is to highlight 500 female future leaders in technology by 2022.”

“The response to this year’s awards has been fantastic and calibre of entries has been outstanding!”

“I am so proud to see so many women in tech recognised for their achievements and really look forward to celebrating our winners.”

The TechWomen100 awards were kindly supported by Worldpay, Accenture, BAE Systems, Credit Suisse, Dell EMC, Deloitte, NewsUK, and Sky.

We would personally like to thank our judges who all gave up their valuable time to assemble our winners and to help WeAreTechWomen recognise the fantastic achievement of all of our amazing nominees.

Once again, we would like to congratulate all our winners and extend a sincere thanks to everyone who supported the TechWomen100 Awards during 2018.
